What is required to book a musician or group?
A signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book a musician or group.

How can we pay for your services?
Preferred payment method is by check or Zelle. Venmo and PayPal (as long as client covers fees).

Are musicians able to play a song that is not already in their repertoire?
Special requests for musical selections not already in a musician’s or group’s repertoire may cost extra.

Do we need to provide audio equipment?
Most musicians and groups bring their own PA equipment.

What if our event is outdoors?
The musicians need to be completely shaded in order to protect their valuable instruments and equipment. They will also need a solid and level surface on which to set up chairs, etc.

Do musicians take breaks during long engagements?
For engagements longer than one hour musicians will be allowed a 10 minute break each hour.

How is overtime handled if my event runs longer than expected?
If you need the musicians to stay past the scheduled end time there will be an extra charge for overtime. The rate will be given in the contract. All musicians may not be able to stay longer due to subsequent engagements so please book extra time in advance if there’s a possibility your event will be delayed.

What if our venue requires musicians to have their own liability insurance?
If your venue requires musicians and groups to have their own liability insurance there will be an additional charge depending on the number of guests expected at your event.

Who is Dan Willard, and will he appear at my event?
Dan Willard founded Dan Willard Music Service in order to promote the various bands he leads, as well as fellow musicians with whom he has worked. Read his full bio here. Dan does not necessarily appear at every event, but is a member of several bands featured on this website. He can also be hired as a vocalist, flautist, clarinetist, and saxophonist.
